Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a post-doctoral specialty of dentistry that entails between 4-6 years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training. An Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon will diagnose and manage disorders and conditions relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions (maxillofacial). Dr. Keogh’s expertise ranges from wisdom teeth removal and extractions to dental implants, pre-prosthetic surgery, bone grafting and augmentation, and management of facial trauma, oral pathology, facial pain and TMJ disorders.

The front office and financial personnel are well trained in assisting patients and families with scheduling, financial and insurance issues. Our surgical assistants are well trained in assisting Dr. Keogh with anesthesia and surgical procedures. All of our staff are CPR certified and all have multiple years of experience in medical/dental care. Our surgical staff is trained to assist with Intravenous (IV) Sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. Our staff’s goal is to ensure that your experience is a positive one with compassionate, quality care in a comfortable, state-of-the-art environment.

Dr. Keogh received his Undergraduate Degree at Tufts University, graduating Summa Cum Laude as a Chemistry major. He went on to complete his dental training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School, graduating with honors Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Keogh completed his post-doctoral residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Connecticut.

Following residency training, Dr. Keogh took a faculty position in Residency Education for five years at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri and served as Residency Program Director for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program for his final two years. While in St. Louis, Dr. Keogh also practiced the full scope of Oral Surgery in a successful private practice.

Dr. Keogh relocated to Denver, Colorado in 1998 to pursue full time private practice.

Dr. Keogh is involved in the OMF Specialty locally and nationally, serving as a delegate for Colorado in the House of Delegates for the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He actively participates in continuing education in order to stay abreast of the latest and most advanced techniques in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Keogh is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and is well trained in Dentoalveolar Surgery, Implants, Oral Pathology, Facial Trauma, Reconstructive and Pre-prosthetic Surgery and TMJ Management.

Dr. Keogh is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, American Medical Association and the Colorado Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Keogh was voted by colleagues in 2008, 2009 and 2010 to be “One of the Best Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in Denver”.
